The Vaccination Drive

I love him for he takes me on a ride in his car.

Watching the clouds in the sky go past us, keeps me busy. The radio in the car churns out the music that he seems to be enjoying. Closed windows shut the noise outside. Its only music, him and me!

Halting at the signals, he takes his hands off the steering wheel and caresses me fondly. Sometimes I venture to the seat next to him and stand with my front paws on the side window. Most of the times the view is same, our neighborhood…

Today however, the view was different!

Has he forgotten that we are on a round? Is he is taking me to his work place? I hope he isn't taking me back to the adoption house. Is he fed-up of my enterprising endeavors at home?

Scared, I returned back to the warmth of his lap. I purred and scratched him.

Coddling me, he said, “Don’t worry Kitty. The vaccine is not going to be painful!”
