Today was a special day for Aboli. She was coaxed by her parents to go on a shopping spree, on her own. Just an iota of self-doubt was left behind somewhere deep within.
Dressing up in her favourite attire, she complemented it with a Kashmiri stole. Wrapping it around the neck gave her warmth and assurance. Bringing some tresses ahead over the right shoulder and checking the look finally in the mirror, she smiled. The dimples persuaded her to hold her head high and walk with confidence.
There was a spring and gait in her stride. She started browsing through the Autum winter collection. “Retail Therapy” soon washed away last speck of fear.
Thanks to the cadaverous donation of skin, Aboli, the acid attack victim, could walk back to normal life.
A victim has metamorphosed into a woman of substance, the survivor, the fighter!

With this post, I appeal to you to register yourselves for donation of organs posthumously. Skin, heart, leaver, kidneys, eyes are the organs that can be donated. I have registered for complete donation of my body. Let there be light and smile in some one's life even when we cease to live on this Earth!
